Association of Mountaineering Instructors AGM and CPD weekend

The AMI AGM is filling up fast, this is a great weekend and opportunity to find out the latest news and developments happening in your Association. Taking place at Glenmore Lodge on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th January, get your year off to a great start with a chance to, get up to date with your CPD with a great choice of workshops from Winter stance management and short roping to decision making in Winter, through to GPS, social media marketing and big wall basics. Supported by our Brand partners DMM and RAB who are also running workshops on equipment testing and clothing.

AMI Safety Seminar

The AMI Safety Seminar will be an facilitative workshop led by the Chair of the Professional Standards Committee aimed at raising awareness and understanding surrounding current safety trends within the outdoor industry and building on the incident reports received from the membership. Because of the relevance and importance of the workshop content in building the safety awareness of the membership, it will carry a full day’s core CPD point. The workshop is open to all full and trainee members and is strongly recommended for furthering personal development.

Refresh your skills on this one day workshop with an update of all the latest thinking and a forum for exchanging ideas and best practice. A full day short roping workshop aimed at Full MIC's looking to revise and update their technique. Learn how to make things smooth and efficient and explore the limits of winter short roping. This workshop is designed to be a peer to peer open forum for sharing ideas.

PHTLS Bleeding & Trauma cert (B-CON)

A short course certificated by PHTLS. Dealing with life threatening bleeding is something that we hope we'll never have to do. Is it enough to hope..?
