Mountain Training Qualification Schemes

Since 1 January 2014 all candidates passing a Mountain Training award receive an official certificate.

These certificates are fraud and tamper proof. Each certificate carries branded hologram, watermark, embossed Mountain Training logo, unique number and heat reactive spot.

If you would like to buy a replacement pass certificate for any qualifications held please contact the office on 01690 720272 to arrange payment over the phone by credit/debit card. We charge a fee of £10 per certificate. We aim to fulfil orders within 10 working days of receipt. Certificates will be posted to the Delivery address on your CMS account so please make sure this is up to date.

If you require a replacement pass certificate for Winter Mountain Leader (WML) please contact the Scotland office on scotland@mountain-training.org.

Please note that it is not possible to issue certificates for qualifications that are not held. Please check your Training tab on the CMS. If the Pass result isn’t there we cannot print a certificate.

From June 2020 new and replacement International Mountain Leader (IML) pass certificates will state on them ‘In accordance with the training platform of the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA). Approved by UIMLA.’



Mountain Training Skills Schemes

For attendance on a skill scheme course, candidates receive a coloured printed certificate.

If you would like to buy a replacement certificate for completion of a skills scheme course please contact the office on 01690 720272 to arrange payment over the phone by credit/debit card. We charge a fee of £5 per certificate. We aim to fulfil orders within 10 working days of receipt. Certificates will be posted to the Delivery address on your CMS account so please make sure this is up to date.



For anyone who has not yet logged in to their database record:

To access your existing account, go to the Candidate Management System, https://mt.tahdah.me click on 'Sign up' and enter the following information:
  • MTID or Candidate Reference number
  • First name
  • Last name
  • DOB
  • Email (this must match the email address associated with your details)
Choose username and password and click Sign Up.

Once logged in you can check out the digital logbook (DLOG) via the link on your CMS record underneath Your Account. This online facility replaces paper logbooks as the place to record all your walking and climbing experience.
