Keswick Mountain Festival
9th-11th June, 2017
Keswick Mountain Festival has become one of the UK’s leading festivals for outdoor enthusiasts, with everything from triathlons and mountain marathons to festival camping, live music and the festival village. This year, Mountain Training will be part of the BMC & Lowe Alpine Skills Camp in the festival village, offering FREE mountains skills sessions for hill walkers to help kick start your adventures.
The sessions are a taster for some of the topics covered on our Hill Skills and Mountain Skills courses: navigation and planning/packing. Each session lasts for an hour and will be practical in nature, with plenty of time for questions and practice. So if you’re planning on going for a walk, why not pop in and brush up on some skills before you head out to enjoy the hills. There will also be sessions on first aid (delivered by Dr Stuart Allen and Dr Christopher Abbott) and campsite cooking (delivered by expedition chef Kieran Creevy).
