- Create an account on our Candidate Management System by filling in the boxes on the screen and verifying your email address.
- Once you're in, add your address and emergency contact details.
- Click the Register button at the top of the screen and select your chosen registration from the drop down list and follow the steps to pay.
If you've already got a Mountain Training account:

If you registered with Mountain Training a long time ago, please read the answer to question 3 below.
2 / Why do I have to register?
Registration is the gateway to our schemes and gives you access to courses run by our approved providers. It allows us to understand who's taking part in our schemes and the fee supports the administration and development work we do for all of our schemes. We charge a fee each time you register on one of our schemes, except our skills schemes which are paid through your course provider directly.
Once registered, registration lasts a lifetime.
To find out more about how we're funded, read this article:
How is Mountain Training funded3 / I registered many years ago. Is my registration still valid?
Yes, registrations last a lifetime.
You will now also have access to a Digital Logbook (DLOG) through your account on our Candidate Management System. Log in to your account to begin adding your experience to your DLOG. If you have nver accessed your account, please see question 4 for information on how to gain access to your account. If you still have your paper logbook you can scan the experience pages that you have filled in and attach them as documents to the Files section of your DLOG, rather than having to input each entry individually.
If you need support in accessing your account or updating your records please contact Mountain Training on
info@mountain-training.org
4 / I am trying to log in. I might already be registered on one of your schemes but I don’t know for sure. What should I do?
If you have, or ever had, a Mountain Training logbook then you are already registered on one of our schemes.
To connect with your account:
- If you provided an email address when you originally registered and can still access that email address, fill in your name, date of birth, email address and (importantly) your candidate number on our Candidate Management System. Your name must be entered exactly as it's spelt in your logbook. Your candidate number is usually found on your endorsement page.
If you no longer have your logbook or did not provide an email address please either email us on info@mountain-training.org or give us a call in the office for help with this 01690 720 272.
- Once you're in, please approve your data 'subscriptions' and check that your address and emergency contact details are up to date.
- Click on the 'Awards & Training' tab, then the registrations tab. Any existing registrations will be listed there.
If there are no registrations listed on your account and you think there should be, please contact our customer service team
