Leader of the Month - January
We had a great response to the launch of our new campaign last month so thanks for all of your nominations. If you didn't nominate someone, there's always February!
January's Leader of the Month is...
Cameron Wood
"Cameron uses his awards on a project called Wildcats (for children from North Edingburgh). He inspires every single one of them with his enthusiasm and love of climbing. Cameron is an outstanding instructor, perhaps one of the best I have come across."
Cameron is a 19 year old modern apprentice with the City of Edinburgh Council based at the Bangholm Outdoor Centre in Edinburgh. He was nominated by Cliff Smith.Cameron wins a Sherpa Adventure Gear Amdo Tech Fleece and a year's free Mountain Training Association membership.
Special mention goes to:
Debra Surridge
"She has helped young people change their lives through climbing, by believing in giving them positive goals."
Debra secured funding (a whopping £50,000) to build HI Rock, a climbing wall on Hayling Island near Portsmouth, thanks to a lot of hard work. She is a police officer and works at the wall as a volunteer. She was nominated by Pete Swift.
