Mountain Training - The Movie
As our 50th year draws to a close we’re making a short film to showcase what Mountain Training is all about. That means you, your adventures, your mishaps, your achievements and the people who’ve benefited from your hard work.
In order to make this a reality
we need your video clips.
They could be long or short, silent or with audio and we’d love them to showcase the people as much as the scenery.
The final film will be a good mix of walking, climbing and mountaineering that really highlights how amazing it feels to hold a Mountain Training award. So whether you’ve got a two second clip of someone falling into a bog on your Mountain Leader training or a 12 minute film of someone learning to lead their first climb indoors, we’d love to see it!
All you have to do is send us a link to your video (on YouTube, vimeo, BMCtv or dropbox), we’ll watch it and let you know if we want to use it in our film.
What we’re looking for:
- People doing things (pretty scenery is great but nothing says Mountain Training quite like a bunch of people trying to dig a snow hole in a blizzard)
- People learning something new, outdoors or at the climbing wall
- People leading walking groups, running climbing sessions (indoors or outdoors) or teaching skills
- A mixture of ages and groups – to reflect the sort of work award holders end up doing
- UK-based footage (unless it’s International Mountain Leader related)
Please note: if we choose your film you’ll need to be able to supply us with the original (best quality) version of the file.
