Hill & Mountain Skills filming – we need you
Our
Hill & Mountain Skills courses are proving really popular with new and improving walkers and they have the potential to appeal to an even wider audience.
So we’re going to make two short films, one for each scheme, starting with filming for Hill Skills on 3rd and 4th May 2017. Filming will take place from 12pm-6pm in the
Peak District (Hathersage area) on
Wednesday 3rd May and in
North Wales (locations TBC) on
Thursday 4th May. The films will be used on our website and social media and shared with our partners to promote the scheme.
To ensure we fully represent those participating in Hill Skills courses we’re looking for a diverse group of six people (you don't have to be available for both days). If selected, you will be given some clothing to wear and some equipment to use during the filming. That said, please bring/wear whatever you normally would to go for a hill walk.
What we’re looking for:
- A group of walkers, a pair (could be a couple or family pair e.g. mother and son) and an individual
- A spread of ages, from teenager to older people
- An even mix of male and female walkers
- Walkers from different ethnicity groups
- Walkers who are comfortable in front of the camera and happy to be filmed (possibly multiple times doing the same thing)
You will need your own transport for the day and please bring your own food/drink.
It should be an entertaining day so those with a good sense of humour will be welcome!
We’re hoping to negotiate some kind of reward for your time via the partners we’re collaborating with on the project. Details to be confirmed on the day.
If you would like to be involved and are available next Wednesday or Thursday please complete the
expression of interest form and send it along with a photo of yourself to
nicola@mountain-training.org by
9am on Tuesday 2nd May. You will be notified during the day on Tuesday 2nd if we would like you to come along.
There will be other opportunities to get involved with filming as part of this project and they will be shared on our website and via social media.
