What is a leadership scheme provider?
Providers are approved to deliver Mountain Training leadership schemes on behalf of Mountain Training England. These include;
A provider can be an individual or an organisation. The provider account held on Mountain Training’s Candidate Management System (CMS) has an individual ‘owner’. This individual is the primary link between the provider and Mountain Training England. An outline of the ‘Providers Responsibilities’ can be found

What is a skills scheme provider?
Providers are approved to deliver Mountain Training skills schemes on behalf of Mountain Training England. These include;

What is a course director?
Course directors are formally approved by Mountain Training England to lead specific Mountain Training leadership scheme courses on behalf of an approved provider. An outline of the ‘Course director Responsibilities’ can be found
here.
Course directors cannot operate independently and must be linked to an approved provider. It is essential all providers have linked course directors.
Within set ratios course directors can have additional course staff working with them on the course. Staff are expected to be appropriately qualified and experienced (
as outlined here) but they do not require formal approval.
What is a course tutor?
Tutors are formally approved by Mountain Training England to lead specific Mountain Training skills scheme courses on behalf of an approved provider. Simply, this is the person delivering the course to the participants on the day. An outline of the ‘Tutors Responsibilities’ can be found
here. Tutors cannot operate independently and must be linked to an approved provider. It is essential all providers have linked course tutors.
